A sweet dress for a sweet baby girl to be born next month. I’m loving the silky BFL yarn and the gorgeous color.

Tanis’s pattern is very well-written. The only mistake I made (which resulted in several inches of ripping) was the result of my inability to read the entire pattern before launching into the knitting. Ah well; live and learn.

So … I knit the leaves around the hem upside down. I have no idea how I managed that, but I am leaving it as is.

For the bind-off, I plan to skip the eyelet part; after looking at all the FOs, I decided it makes the dress just a tad too frilly for my taste. Instead I’ll be using a basic picot bind-off to make the scalloped hem and sleeves a little more subtle.
