Have wanted to make this jacket for years - many years. My sister had the long coat gifted to her when we were teenagers

Holding yarn double and still thinner than original yarn. Guage 7sts=2”;4.5 rows=1” but can’t find 7mm needles to buy anywhere - didn’t know it was such a rare needle . So will add 4 sts to fronts and 8sts to back and 2 sts to border to make up difference

Want to knit with minimal seaming so will knit body as 1 piece until armhole decreases - including front border. also knitting moss stitch border on bottom to match cuff on sleeves. On front pieces for moss stitch border am slipping first stitch for more even edges.

Dec 2nd - finished 3rd/4th skiens- 14.5” completed

Dec 3rd - knit to armholes and placed fronts on spare cables. back completed. Started right front.
Using 7th/8th skiens.

Finished - just have to weave in ends and block
