Notes

All the way to Loop in London to discover an American designer and yarn!

This is a substitute yarn. It’s really, really beautiful although it is bleeding color really aggressively as I knit. My hands are blue and sticky and I have to wash after every few rows. I worked on it wearing white pants the other day. Big mistake! I hope it comes out, and that the yarn stops bleeding after being washed. Otherwise I will be auditioning for Avatar, the musical (JK.)

I bought 8 skeins by yardage math but will need only 6 or 7 to finish. I had to go to a 4 needle rather than the 6 called for to get the gauge.

This knits quite quickly and is otherwise really straightforward. You knit from the top down which means no seams (yippie.) I am using the magic loop technique rather than DPNs… not sure I like it but I find I don’t get the same guage when I change needles, be it from one length circular to another or from circs to DPNs.

I am a little worried the armholes will be very high and tight but I’ll see when it’s done.
