I am such a fan of Hiroko’s design’s. They are a delight to knit, and the finished garments are so versatile to wear and style.

Alice is worked top-down completely in one piece - you don’t need to break the yarn at all in this design just keep on knitting. Its amazing watching the shaping develop through short rows and decreases.

The pattern utilises German short rows (and quite a lot of them at that) which gave me plenty of practice at this technique. I am starting to favour it over wrap and turn for sure !

The yarn is Enchant from Skein Queen. Described as a fingering weight, I find this yarn is very light in my opinions it is closer to a heavy laceweight . It is incredibly soft and ever so slightly fluffy - a real treat to knit with.
