Clue One Complete

Three repeats of chart two for the larger size shawl. 172 stitches at the end of the clue, and my 60 cm circular is filling up fast ! This really is going to be a big shawl.

Not what I was expecting from the first clue in my second Boo Knits MKAL. Clue one has brought texture with not a lace stitch in sight !

Curious to see where this is headed.

Clue Two Complete

Love the placement of the beads in this clue. I’m using size six Miyuki Gilt Lined Opal (6-551). The shawl is a gift for a 70th birthday in October, so I have planned this around an “opal” theme, as this is the October birthstone.

Clue Three Complete

A short “transition” clue. At the end of clue 3 I have only used 5g of beads. I suspect clue 4 is going to be very lacey and very beady !

Clue Four Complete

This is a big clue - the first part of the clue is very beaded, the second part is quite straightforward knitting, but the rows are oh so long now !

Clue Five Complete

This clue took 3 days to complete - the cast off alone took 4 hours ! My picot cast off has definitely improved since Just Be You earlier this year. I knit each 3rd stitch on the cast off through the back of the loop, this tightened up the gap between the new stitches cast on to make the picot.

Using my new Fiber Fantasy Flexible Blocking Wiires, which is making the blocking process much easier !
