Worked toe-up with a short row heel using Felt Fusion High twist sock to accentuate the mock cables.

I have worked the lace and cable pattern over the heel flap as these socks are intended for wearing in the house so a reinforced heel isn’t a priority. Style over function for this one because - pretty matters. If I was to knit this for everyday use I would substitute for a plain stocking stitch heel.

Once the lace and cable pattern is established it is effectively only a six-row repeat, and quite instinctive to follow.
