Pair eight in my yearly sock challenge of a pair a month. My overall aim with the project is to undertake either something new or challenging with each pair.

August is the month I get to take some time off for holidays and hopefully get in some quality knitting time.

Bayerische is the sock I have always promised myself I will knit someday, and always avoided casting on for! So no more procrastinating. This project is my motivation to finally rise to the Bayerische challenge.

I picked out a solid shade of Wollmeise pure because a project almost a decade in waiting deserves nothing less ! Pure is also a very smooth non splitty yarn, so it seemed a good texture to make all the tiny cables pop.

No changes other than I’ve modified the toe to my usual round toe - because that is the best fit for my foot !
