This is definitely my most challenging project of 2018 (so far) These take lots of care and attention to detail - the main challenge being to pick up the finger stitches so that there are no gaps.

I found the best technique for me to be working a raised bar increase in the the leg of the twisted stitch below (rather than a typical m1 type increase)

Once the knitting was complete the next challenge was blocking. I used Asatricosa’s tutorial for making glove blockers. So glad I blocked these as it completely transformed the finished piece.

The yarn is James C Brett Legacy DK - a workhorse wool yarn with a smooth texture. I started off using 30 cm addi’s , but soon switched to Hiya Hiya’s as the sharper point made all the difference to the clarity of the cables.
