Off to a slightly late start after dithering over colourways.
Eventually settled on L-R MC Blackbird, CC1 Andromeda, CC2 Nob Hill.
I’m going to add some silver beads - my inspiration and thinking is coming from the colours and shades in the placeholder image.

Decided to really go for it with beading on the lace section.
On alternate RS rows I switched between placing a bead on stitch 10 (Rows 3,7,11 ) and stitch 7 (Rows 5,9,13)
About 20 mins after finishing up the lace section of clue 1, clue 2 arrived in my inbox. Glad to see a nice stretch of Garter stitch after all that beading !

All finished up on Clue 2 - I’ve worked through a whole pack of beads as had to add the same amount to the second lace section so things remained balanced ! I estimate about 300 beads in total so far.
I still have about 600 of the same beads left which I am anticipating will all get used up on this project . I think as the bottom edge approaches and rows get longer more beads will be needed to keep things in line with clue 1 and 2
At the end of the clue I have 42g of MC and 32g of CC1.

Clue Three done in a day - this clue zips along quite quickly now the pattern is established.

So, I suspected that when clue 4 was released I may regret my decision to place beads on each and every right side row.
With 81 pattern repeats per row I’ve placed almost 600 beads in clue 4 alone !

I worked the picot bind off very loosely to allow for lots of stretch - it has formed quite a distinct scallop edge once blocked.
I love the design and I am happy with the colourway and beading being in keeping with the cosmic theme. I do wish that I had used Blackbird as the CC2 though as it is just so bold as the MC.
Thankfully Blackbird didn’t bleed when washed - although the pink speckles in Andromeda colourway have bled out and become a touch blurry. Not a problem for this design but worth bearing in mind if using this colourway for another project - the grey background of Andromeda can very easily turn pink !
