Started with the Italian cast on as recommended - its a fiddle, but the end result is so neat and pretty.

I’m not super familiar with the method of brioche used in this pattern (I have dim memories of knitting honeycomb brioche back in pre ravelry days…). The instructions as written can come over as a little bit daunting, but really the pattern is very simple. All you have to remember is each RS row is just a K row omitting the YO’s from the previous rows.

The finished fabric is so bouncy and squishy. If you are a “loose” knitter you may want to make sure you have extra yarn available because this stitch pattern does eat up the yardage.

Allison’s pattern is exceptionally well thought out with lots of clever little details to give a very polished finish.
