I love this scarf!! It’s fun to watch the scarf curve gently as you add the extra stitches to each row. It’s a delightfully easy pattern but never boring.

I wanted a different look for the border row, so I used a pattern from the book by Edie Eckman - Around the Corner Crochet Borders pattern no. 137. I only crocheted row 1 of the pattern, which consists of ‘sc in one st, trc in next st.’ all around.

Before I started with the contrasting colour, I sc’d all around the scarf with the original colour, then a round of sc in white, then the border row.

Each scarf is made from 100% cotton worsted weight from the thrift shop - a perfect yarn for a light summer scarf. I haven’t finished with this pattern yet; I see so many colour possibilities ahead.
