Twisted together as a 2 ply, so actually 700 yards.

Yarn is nice, and I’m sure will bloom and soften even more once I wash it. Very dark navy though - almost black (perhaps I should have guessed from the name).

This pattern is quite a bit easier than the flower basket I just finished. I don’t feel the need to put a lifeline in every pattern repeat - I’m confident I can get the needle back in to a purl row if I need to rip back for any reason. Having said that, I’m at Kokos this evening, so maybe I’ll just put one in anyway….

I would never have worn a shawl before I started knitting them. Now I want one to match every outfit…
