1.17.14: On to the stripes today. A little worried it will be too narrow, but I am hoping the blocking and a little wear will stretch it out. Going to give it until the arm holes are completed before deciding whether to continue.
STRIPES: only doing 5 rows, will be easy to count up number of rows for arm holes, and then also alternating the side where ends will be woven in.
1.24.15: Coming along very well. Almost to 15th increase row, but seeing this aside to make sure I can get all projects done for my wedding I plan to do. Hopefully won’t be set aside too long.
Hibernated from 1.24.15 to 5.3.15. My wedding knitting has been completed and I am so eager to get back to working on this! :)
6.8.15: Spent the last week or so working on this for the first time in quite a while. added about 5” total, and separated rows for the body and sleeves. Ends woven in on one side of the front, with the other side still needing to be completed. When separating for the sleeves, I CO 2 sts with a cable CO and on either edge kfb to increase underarm. Will need to PU these sts when beginning sleeves.
9.18.15: This has spent most of the summer staring me down. I have been working on the sleeves to ensure I have enough of the black to finish the sleeves, but I am guessing I have more than enough for the body and the second sleeve stripes. I am only about 6 inches from the end of the first sleeve and hoping to finish in the next week. I just got a 12” circular needle which makes sleeves go so much faster. I am loving it so much!
11.18.15: Completed first sleeve on Halloween. Second sleeve BO two days ago. Now onto the rest of the body. By my measurements I have roughly 10 inches left to get the desired length. I ordered one extra skein of each color when I was doing the sleeves realizing that what I had was not going to be enough. I had to wind the MC already and have enough for at least 2 maybe 3 stripes of CC before I need the new skein. at this point I’m just trying to enjoy the process of this one. As it comes together I can see the end of all this hard work!

I love this sweater, except that it won’t stay on my shoulders. To deal with this issue I took a little of the leftover yarn and crochet hook and placed a stability chain across the entire neck, just below the neck ribbing. This seems like it will help a lot! Now I can hopefully wear it without losing it.
