On the Knitting Paradise newsletter there is a segment titled Knitting and Crochet Workshops With Designer1234. They are not KALs, but she puts up and idea with a suggested pattern and then we all talk about how we’re doing it in the forum.
This stashbuster bag was great fun and almost everyone who did one said they would do more. I just couldn’t wait after each color change to see how it was going to look. It works like a “magic ball” project, just keep adding short pieces from your stash - you know, the leftovers.
I used an “I” crochet hook and Shirley suggested chain 60 to start bottom of bag. It turned out to be a lot bigger than i anticipated, but perfect for my yarn projects. I will make another with probably 40 chain stitches to begin.
The suggestion for the sides ws a row of sc in back of loop, a row of hdc, a row of dc, a row of hdc and a row of sc in back of loop. I, more or less followed that suggestion. :)
Check KnittingParadise.com to see many versions of this bag; some are of only two colors, some of only solid colors and anything else you can imagine.
