Lime green Sensations - very soft, w/ midnight blue Caron stripe; size J hook. DC thruout the pattern; every 4th row crochet into back of stitch. Change color every 10th row of green to the blue. When changing back to the lime green in row 12, c into the back of the stitch, making a “straight” look at the top of the blue color. Finished w/ small blue tassels at the end of the blue stripes and a combination of green and blue tassels at the four corners.

This was made for a 6’2”, 15 yr old young man who had outgrown and worn out his original baby blanket, but still liked wrapping up in it. I looked at the baby blanket and saw that it was a simple DC. To make it more mature and more “masculine” feeling, i added the blue, which is a little more substantial than the green “sensations” yarn and some texture by crocheting into the back of the stitches making a “straight” line every 4th row.
