10/12/2015 I have not touched this project since March or April of 2015.

12/18/2015 About 2 months ago, I mentioned to Gram that I want to frog this. She balked, “but you spent so much time on it, honey!” Yea. I did. The thing is, I don’t like it.

I did not know enough about fiber/pattern combinations when I started this to understand that, while this yarn may suit this kimono, I knit it too damn tightly for this to ultimately be right. Really, I think it is the wrong fiber for the pattern and I know that it is the wrong gauge for this yarn.

My short rows are pretty damn tidy for such beginner work (high-five, self!), but my wrap and turn shoulder is bleh. The turn pulls unpleasingly.

I had done the other shoulder square in its entirety before I realized that I made a rectangle - NOT a square. How did I get the whole way through before noticing? It was a depressing winter. I did what I could.

When I had to frog the whole left shoulder square, I put the project down. The time has come. I am frogging this and using the fiber elsewhere. Nice effort. Try again, Ria.

12/23/2015 Ok. I lied. I frogged the square and kept the placket. I’ll leave this on my Dress Form Friend for a little longer. Maybe it needs to be finished…

1/18/2016 Moved to yarn bin 2 for the move.
