10/11/2016 Based on Melanie’s pattern, but worked as a square center-out. Loosely c/on sz 1 dpns b/c they’re the only small wooden ones I have and I needed the stick of wood. Metal is too slick to start with this alpaca.
Rows look like this:
- 2 sts on ea ndl for a total of 8 sts in the round
- 4 sts on ea ndl for a total of 16 sts in the round
- 6 sts on ea ndl for a total of 24 sts in the round
- 8 sts on ea ndl for a total of 32 sts in the round
- 10 sts on ea ndl for a total of 40 sts in the round
- 12 sts on ea ndl for a total of 48 sts in the round
- 14 sts on ea ndl for a total of 56 sts in the round
- realized that the polka dot row is a pattern repeat of 2, so I need ea ndl to have a total of (something divisible by 2) + 1, so all these even totals aren’t going to work, and only increased once on this increase round for 15 sts on ea ndl for a total of 60 sts in the round
- polka dot sl st row x 2
- MC rows through 4 increases
10/27/2017 I haven’t touched this since day 1 because there’s that wonky increase row in there and I don’t love it. Also, the CC color does not pop on this MC. I know that’s how KT would want it, but damn it, I just don’t like it. I don’t like the yarn enough to frog it, so I am just going to put the thing away for a while. Meh. No stars.
2/22/2018 I’ve accepted that this thing is never happening and frogged it for a test hat.
