Quick and easy pattern - great textures! It came out huge! The twisted fringe was worth all the time it took.
Note: I started off with Version 1 of the pattern, and left off with Version 5. The pattern has since been updated with charts. Very responsive designer!
Mods:
Row 19 - switched to 6 mm. hook
On sc rows: did ch2 turning chain
After row 25 - frogged back to row 4. Not satisfied with the top edge increases. Added more increases in second version.
Using 6 mm. hook
Row 5 - ch2 before 1st and after last cluster
Row 8 - skip just 1 dc after; the 1st ch2, one-third the way through, two-thirds the way through the row, and the last ch2
Row 9 - ch1 before first 3dc and after last 3dc
Row 10 - ch1 before first 4dc and after last 4dc
Row 11 - after 1st ch 1, dc in first ch1 sp; after last ch1 in 4th dc then ch 1, dc in last ch1 sp, ch 1
Row 12: ch1 after 1st ch3/1dc; ch 1 before 2dc in last st
Row 13 - after 1st ch1, 1dc in ch1 sp, dc in next dc, continue with pattern; reverse at end to be symmetrical.
Row 16 - ch1 after 1st ch3/1dc; ch 1 before 2dc in last st
Row 14 - last ch 1 before 2dc in last st is missing (to be symmetrical)
Row 17 - after 1st ch3/1dc, ch 2 1dc in ch1 sp; ch 2 1dc in ch1 sp, before 2dc in last st
Row 18 - ch1 after 1st ch3/1dc; ch 1 before 2dc in last st
Row 19 - ch 2 as turning chain, after 2sc in 1st stitch, ch1, sc in next dc, sc in ch 1 sp, sc flo in all dc
Row 20 - ch 2 as turning chain; sc blo in every st including ch1
** did 1 extra row of mesh
Row 27 - ignored instructions. ch 2 as turning chain, 2sc in first sc, 3sc in each 3sc sp, 2sc in last sc.
After row 29, added 1 more row like row 5 cluster. 3 dc in beginning and ending stitches.
Then added 3 more rows: sc, sc flo, sc blo
The twisted fringes took a long time. Almost a whole skein of yarn for the first 2/3 of the fringes.
