Notes

A great basic guideline and my first adult sized sweater. I love the way this turned out and it’s so warm! I tried a stockinette neck knowing that I might change my mind later. Instead of pulling it out, I decided to fold it over for a small collar look.

Project Changes:
using worsted weight yarn
cast on 100 sts, used 8 for the garter stitch button band so the raglan setup was the same.
20 raglan increases.
started decreases just under bust.
decreased 2 stitches under both arms 4 times with 6 rows between each decrease.
increased 2 stitches under each arm 4 times with 6 rows between each increase.
started bottom ribbing approximated 1 inch after last increase.
4 inches = 25 rows of 2x2 ribbing at bottom.
picked up 8 stitches for sleeves to try to avoid a hole; that didn’t really work.
started with 58 stitches for sleeves.
knit one round then start decreasing 2 stitches.
knit 8 rows between decreases down to 40 stitches.
knit a total of 96 rows before ribbing on sleeves.
4 inches = 25 rows of 2x2 ribbing at end of sleeves.
