Finished just in time for Christmas with my family!

I used bulky yarn and size 10 needles for this capelet.

I used the saxon braid pattern. This is a 16-row repeat and I did 10 repeats. I might have been able to get away with 9 repeats.

I seamed the braid together and picked up 140 stitches on one edge of the braid. I should have picked up more like 120 stitches for a size small (about 3 of every 4 stitches) because there were a few ripples with 140.

I joined in the round and knitted all rounds for about 4 inches. I decreased 8 stitches on the last stockinette round.

I reduced my needle size to 9 and worked 2x2 ribbing for about 3 inches. Even after reducing the needle size, I chose to thread two strands of yarn around the top of the ribbing to hold the ribbing in place. Probably due to the weight of the yarn, the ribbing stretched too much for my liking.
