if I were better at doing increases I think I would have gradually made the bottom wider so the finished sleep sack was more of a bell shape. But, I decided to follow the pattern for the most part for this first attempt. I also should have spaced the buttons out better. They’re not close enough to the edges so I hope my daughter doesn’t get her foot out of the bottom and make her toes cold. We’ll see once I get to use this on her.

Update: This sleep sack is perfect for my daughter. I don’t have to worry about her pulling a blanket over her nose and mouth. She also sleeps really soundly with this on. She seems to prefer it over traditional, store-bought sleep sacks. I will definitely add this to my repertoire for baby shower gifts.
