Notes

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” - Albert Camus quotes

Finished measurements (without fringe) 88” x 8.5”

Please note, I’m a tight knitter who DID NOT do a gauge swatch and who ADDED 30 extra rows.

FINALLY getting started. Casted on and headed forward :)

Very springy in both color and touch - the right garter in this yarn is deliciously bouncy.

Nothing is as frustrating as knowing that you are the user in user error. In my excitement to get started I skipped over the instructions and completely missed the instructions in row 4.

Uffda.

Time to ribbit my way back to fix my own mistakes.
Knitting - the new time travel.

05-30-2017

OK I am all caught up on where the urine was last used before I realized my error.

I’m a tight knitter and I’ve gone down a needle size from what the yarn suggests, at 10 repeats of a pattern, I am getting a half an inch for every four rows.

06-17-2017

Completed the first half. Worked the fifty rows before the illusion.

Because this is a tech knit, I thought I’d follow the written instructions for one side and the chart of the other. Found one small typo in the written instructions but handily had the designer vacationing at the house to ask about it :)

Because I’m a tight knitter final illusion is 7 3/4” long. Piece remains 8 1/4” wide.

Starting the second half. I’m increasing the second side with an extra 30 repeats to make it long enough to fold and pull through.

Still on my first skein for each color.

06-23-2017

Finished the extra thirty repeats & still in the first skeins for each color.

Starting the second section tomorrow.

06-26-2017

Finally have both of the new skeins on the needles

Strangely the purple didn’t run out until 26 rows after the green.

07-10-2017 FRINGE

I figured out how many sections of fringe I wanted on each end.

Then I created the comb with a piece of cardboard by just cutting down to an inch. I did it mainly because the color scheme I want for the fringe is two strands of purple with one strand of bright green and alternated with two strands of bright green with one strand of purple.

So I figured I would prep while the scarf soaked. Plus it let me verify whether or not I had enough yarn to do that on both sides.

To get clear measurements I just used a smaller piece of cardboard wrapped twice and cut. Rulers need not apply :-)

There will always be trimming at the end of the process.

Photos of light blocking coming soon

Scarf is >just< too large for my favorite post soak tool.

We’re gonna need a bigger salad spinner… quote from this Summer’s blockbuster movie “Stash”.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the LYS.
