This yarn is very stiff and hard. Vest looks like armor, zero drape.
It looks frumpy, baggy, and sloppy - I followed the designer’s sizing recommendation, making it 35½-37½, size 3 or medium. It came out 38” despite having gauge.
But I should have followed my own rule to measure my favorite sweater, NOT myself. 34”-35” would have looked fitted without being tight.

Neckline: five ribbing rods, one round to convert to 1x1, Italian tubular bind off.
Sleeve experiment: two rounds of 22 ribbing, one end to convert to 1x1, one end of 1x1, then Italian tubular bind off - hoping it will look cleaner.

Finishing the bottom ribbing; Italian-sewn bind-off. Half wrong, but not pulled out a sewn bind off. No one but me will probably notice I switched the knits and purls.
5-27-25
Ended up frogged about 6 inches back up to the armpits as it was 12 inches too wide. Not loving this pattern.
Had to write the number - only did a few armpit increases and CO THREE stitches to join in the round.
Ugh.

This pattern is confusing as it works differently from any other pattern I’ve done - but once you get the gist of it, it makes sense.
Just read it several times. That said, I couldn’t make the pattern numbers work once joining in the round under the armpits.
Ended up decreasing by four stitches in the second row of the armpits, CO 11 new stitches to join. Hoping this disappears once the ribbing is added.
