I followed the pattern except for adding the red and gold stripe and the red and gold circle on top.

Great pattern…not too difficult. I would probably make it shorter for myself, but Mr. MT likes to roll the brim ;) I would also like to learn how to eliminate the join in the pattern. I meant to learn how to do that before making this hat a 2nd time, but was in a hurry to get it done for a Christmas gift. It was only a week late…
