06/21/26: Every tail has been sewn on. It’s done.

06/21/26: I-cord finished, need to graft the ends together then weave on the bazillion ends from sewing the squares together.

06/14/26: Decided on an applied I-cord border.

06/09/26: I think I’m in the home stretch… I removed and fixed a strip that was out of color order, and have to reattach it. Then I have one more strip to assemble and attach… and a million ends to weave in.

02/13/26: Last square complete! Now to weave in ends, block, assemble strips, fix the strip on the blanket I said I didn’t care about (turns out I do), then attach the last strips and… weave in more ends.

02/10/26: One square left.

01/31/26: Four squares left to go.

01/21/26: Found half a skein of Cobalt in a bag with two skeins of a color from another project. I appear to already have all the Cobalt squares I need.

01/10/26: All five strips assembled, need to make some decisions about subbing a new color for the missing Peacock.

01/09/26: Blanket is now four strips wide and I’m assembling the fifth strip. Still can’t find the missing yarn.

12/25/25: Got the third strip in the wrong order on the first try; took it apart and fixed it, then attached it to the wrong side of the finished portion. Out of fucks to give, as long as two squares of the same color aren’t side-by-side I don’t care.

10/07/25: Have found a second set of eight squares waiting to have their ends woven in.

10/04/25: I have two eight-square strips seamed together, a third set of eight squares are blocking right now, and a fourth set is in my bag waiting to have ends woven in. I only have a few squares after that; I suspect I have more finished squares hiding in my stash cabinet, and I can’t find my remaining peacock yarn.

04/21/23: Have finally started blocking and seaming. One eight-square strip done!

07/25/20: First square (cobalt) is 35g, which means I can get about 2.9 squares out of a skein. I need 5 skeins of each color, not 4.

Second square is 34g.
Third square: 34g
Left over: 4g

If all the skeins run a little large I’ll be able to get away with 4 skeins of each color.

Tried switching to a 16” needle to knit in the round at Row 9, should wait until at least row 11.

First square blocked easily to 10” rather than 8” despite being mostly acrylic.

Squares done:
Cobalt: 14
Peacock: 10
Royal purple: 10
Rouge: 12
Total: 46/56
Math says I need 14 squares of each color.
