Notes

After I made my little felted purse, I had what seemed like a truckload of Cascade 220 left over. I noticed that the brown matched my couch beautifully and said, “I know! I’ll make a little afghan!” (We will gloss over the final yarn cost for a project conceived as a way to use up leftovers.)

I am using a stripes and squares motif, with very predictable squares and more random stripes. I need to get it finished before the weather gets too warm to have a big pile of wool in my lap.

This has been a fun project, with intermittent creativity required for the planning but mostly mindless peaceful cranking in between. My 8yo and I have read hundreds of pages of Harry Potter in the making of this blanket.

Added 6/16/08, almost 2 months after I finished knitting the blanket itself: Applied I-cord is the most boring thing in the universe. Really, I would rather sit around and watch paint dry than finish the edging on this blanket.
