The knitting was a piece of cake, but the finishing was a little less cake-ly. I spent a long time sizing up the unseamed piece, feeling nervous about getting the seam right. I’m still thinking about ripping the waistband, perhaps purling a round first to give the effect of a turning ridge. I didn’t bind off the waistband, but tacked down the live stitches instead in hopes of less bulk and more flexibility.

I wish the waistband weren’t so bulky, but otherwise I’m happy with it.
