This was my longest starting chain so far.
I used stitch markers every 20 just to make sure I kept a good count. Worked like a charm! Got it right the first time. :)

I have had to frog a few rows once…I put a 4 treble cluster in once…since it created too many spaces to be able to fudge, I had to go back…I stop and take a look after every row of clusters now.

I also failed to put a 3 DC cluster in the top of one treble cluster, but that was easy to mask..it just looks a little thin there.

Coming along nicely.
I will be using more skeins than the pattern calls for.
There are several reasons.

1. Using a variegated yarn vs. a solid colour yarn, thus a smaller skein overall
2. I am prematurely ending/starting skeins on the ends of rows. I want all the changes on the ends of rows.
3. I will be edging the entire piece with a solid brown. I am going to try to get at least 2 SC rows of edging around the entire thing.

So the variations ended up being:

• 14 Skeins of the variegated
• 2 rows of SC around the entire thing

I did do the SC along both sides with the variegated as the pattern calls for, but it wasn’t tidy enough for me. I felt that the 2 rows of SC around with the solid dark brown gave this project a nice finish.
