My mom likes to wear yellow, so when I saw this super soft and comfortable yarn on sale, I knew just what I was going to do with it. I also had a ball of metallic yarn I got at the last yarn exchange, so I decided to use that as an accent on the eyelet sections.

This shawl went through several evolutions with me trying to decide what yarn I wanted for the eyelet section. I knew I wanted the black/gold yarn, but it was so thin, I kept thinking I needed to double strand it with something else. After trying 2 or 3 other yarns with it, I finally decided to just do the black/gold yarn on its own and it turned out beautifully.
