Based on above pattern with mods.
Knit 2 at a time on circulars with magic loop method.
Thrums are Wisteria Editions roving in Grape, purple, lavender variegated, magenta, lavender.

CO 24.
16 rounds k1p1 ribbing.
K 1 round
Inc rnd: k2, m1, k1. 32 stitches
K 1 round
First thrum rnd: K3, thrum1 (thrums knit with thrum first then reg yarn on top)
K 3 rounds (on first rnd knit thrums through back loop)
2nd thrum rnd: k1, thrum1, k3, thrum1
K 3 rounds, etc
Repeat
After third thrum round, k 1 rnd, then place thumb:
K first 6 stitches of rnd with waste yarn, move 6 stitches back to left needle, and knit with reg yarn.
Continue working as above. Made 9 tiers of thrumming, then began decreasing. Dec rnd 1 -24 st. K 1 rnd. Dec rnd 2 -18 st. Then Kitchener stitch tops together. Put three extra thrums in the tip of each mitt, sewed them in over the Kitchener stitches for extra fingertip warmth.

Thumb: remove waste yarn and pick up 14 stitches. Knit 1 rnd ( picked up one extra st on each side, then k2tog on next row for a total of 14 st in thumb. Knit 3 tiers of thrums as above, 4 thrums in each (last thrums in each row only 2 st between). Two decrease rnds to end up with 7 st. Cut yarn and used needle to pull through 7 st. Done.
