Second sock looks just like my first
Ready to soak and block on my sock stretchers … what pair shall I knit next
07-28-2020 Finished 4 more stripes, Slipped Stitch Heel Flap, Heel Turn and picked up Gusset stitches. Knitting Gusset decreases so I can continue knitting stripes to Chart B and Toe
07-27-3020 Of course second sock is easier and knits up faster
Successfully Cast On second matching sock, knit ribbing, stripes, set up for Chart A, Chart A and 2 of 6 stripes before Slipped Stitch Heel Flap.
07-26-2020 Kitchener stitched last stitches and first sock is done
Fits beautifully - SOO EXCITED to knit the second sock
Top picture of preblocked first sock and second from top is my sock turned inside out.
Do you know about the addiCraSyTrio flexible 8 1/4” dpns?!?! Switched from my Zing 12” US 1 (2.25mm) circular to my new addiCraSyTrio 2.55mm flexible 3 double pointed needles and easily knit the toe.
07-25-20 Finished stripes (only 10 as I have little feet) and knitting Chart B. Only have last stripes and toe to go
07-23-2020 After knitting my first pair (Blooming Lavender) and now my second pair (Lush Lemonade) I am officially a Stone Knit’s devoted fan
I have faved 11 designs
I am sure there will be more in the future
I have purchased yarn for the following purchased patterns:
Wings Of Hope;
Stone Rose;
Perfect Pansy &
Summer Sky
I will also purchase yarn and the following patterns soon:
Lucky Sunflower
(purchased pattern 08-25-2020)
Spring Flower
Hollingbounre (purchased discounted pattern 07-27-20)
Little Acorn
and
Mountain Pine
Curious, I compared the instructions of the Blooming Lavender Socks to Lush Lemonade Socks as I want my second pair of Charlotte Stone’s designs to fit the same. Discovered both start with 64 stitches, Blooming Lavender pair increased to 74 stitches for Colorwork Chart A for leg and Lush Lemonade pair increased to 70 stitches for Colorwork Chart A. Blooming Lavender has an Eye Of The Partridge Heel Flap and Lush Lemonade has a Slipped Stitch Heel Flap. I counted how many rounds (32) from last row of Heel Turn I knit for my foot of my Blooming Lavender socks and will knit the same amount of rounds for my Lush Lemonade socks keeping in mind that the Colorwork Chart B of Lush Lemonade socks is 7 more rows than Chart B of Blooming Lavender socks
Finished Slipped Stitch Heel Flap, Heel Turn, Gusset, Gusset decreases and now knitting stripes of foot.
Truly enjoying my second pair of another Charlotte Stone’s sweet sock designs
The choice of this incredible yarn and colors gives me a vintage vibe

07-22-2020 Finished Chart A, 6 more stripes, Slipped Stitch Heel Flap Set Up Row, Row 1 and Row 2 x 8 = 16 rows … 16 more rows to go to Heel Turn.
07-21-2020 Knit up to row 14 of Chart A.
I

Knitting lemons
and leaves
and enjoying this fantastic smelling yarn
07-20-2020 Cast on using Long Tail Cast On technique with 1 of 3 of my Zing US 1 (2.25mm) 12” circulars. (I discovered not to switch needle sizes when knitting color work Chart A after knitting my first pair of Charlotte Stone’s designs.) Will introduce second and third 12” circulars when knitting the Slipped Stitch Heel Flap. NO FLOATS and soooo much easier than Magic Loop and DPNs !!!
To jog or not to jog when knitting stripes is the question … I have researched and tried every technique … I just wrap when changing each color when joined and also wrap and carry the next color on the second round.
Just hand wound 4 skeins with no tie offs and did I mention this yarn smells AMAZING
Excited to knit with this wonderful yarn and begin my second pair of socks designed by Charlotte Stone
06-16-2020 Faved pattern, purchased/printed pattern and yarn on its way
