09-09-2025 About halfway done with 8th skein and my wrap with cuff measures 66.6” length … I am determined to finish this for our sailing trip onboard the 1871 Lewis R French Schooner in Camden, ME soon.

06-06-2025 Joined 6th skein … on 88th repeat … getting about 22 repeats (44 rows) per skein.

05-10-2025 Have a lot of repeats to reach length of 94.5” before second Cuff.

05-07-2025 Established pattern as written and knit 11 repeats, which measures 4”. Love the Icord edging

Successfully knit increase round (I did knit 3; then knit 2, 1 Inc, repeat; end with knit last 3 sts .) Used Elizabeth Zimmerman’s invisible increase.

Finished last 2.6” of Cuff ribbing. My skein has 82 yards and joined second skein beautifully by spit splicing on last 8 sts of increase round.

05-06-2025 Knit another 6” of ribbing.

05-05-2025 CO with 16” size US8 circular and knit 4” of ribbing of Cuff. Realized the Cuff should fit loose to wear over tshirt/blouse.

After seeing many of this style shrug/wraps on Facebook, I decided to hand knit a wrap instead of buying one. Discovered this free pattern and remembered my stashed yarn. Couldn’t find my alpaca cream or gray yarn that I thought I would use, but realized this Aran weight 100% Baby Llama yarn would be PERFECT!!!
