Notes

03-02-2021 Really sparkling_heart Vykky’s yarn! Blocked beautifully and as I get older, I am finding myself attracted to pink tulip I have another skein of Vykky’s “Blush” and anxious to knit her “Ashes of Roses” with this pattern revolving_hearts

May my sister enjoy her first pair of handknit socks! Ready to sign her birthday card, wrap and USPS Priority Mail today, hoping she receives before Saturday, her birthday birthday

02-28-2021 SECOND SOCK white_check_mark

Cannot believe I knit the second sock in 2 days!!!

02-27-2021 Finished 3 1/2 repeats of Waving Lace Chart and ready to begin Heel Flap.

Successfully completed Long Tail Cast On for second sock just like the first heart_eyes Got to get this pair done to mail to my sister on Tuesday for Susie’s 71st birthday birthday

FIRST SOCK white_check_mark

Toe done and Kitchener stitched (without “dog ears”) the last 6 stitches on each needle together. If you are not familiar with “Kitchener Stitch without dog ears,” Google it smiling_face_with_3_hearts

Knit third repeat of Waving Lace Chart and rows 1-10 of fourth repeat. After Row 10, knit 1 round and the. switched to my addiCraSyTrio size US1 (2.25mm) DPNS to finish knitting the Toe.

02-25-2021 Finished first repeat of Wave Lace Chart and finished gusset decreases on Row 19 of second repeat (because I picked up 21 stitches).

02-23-2021 Knitting gusset decrease rounds and continuing Wave Lace Chart starting with Row 11 (since ended with row 10) at beginning of Instep. By first gusset K2togs and SSKs decreases are on odd rows, starting with row 13.

Finished Heel Flap, Heel Turn and picked up 20 gusset stitches on each side of Heel Flap, also adding 1 more stitch located between Instep and Heel Flap; M1R after where I will knit K2tog and M1L before I will knit SSK. So I had a total of 92 stitches instead of 90 because I like to close the gap between the Instep and Heal Flap. Also, really like that extra round of KTBL !!

02-22-2021 Finished Waving Lace Chart 3 times and then Rnds 1-10 again. Knitting Heel Flap (8 of 19 times). Fastest sock EVER smiling_face_with_3_hearts

02-21-2021 So prettyheavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament Cannot imagine knitting this sock with DPNs flushed

Using my Zing Size US 1 (2.25mm) 12” circular, completed Long Tail Cast On, knit 14 Row Scalloped Edging and 10 rows of Waving Lace.

Finally decided what sock design to knit my leftover skein of Blush West Green Loft Classic Sock yarn from when I knit my “Wings of Hope” socks designed by Charlotte Stone, Stone Knits last September, 2020.
