Meet “Wittle Wee Wee,” “Lamb Chop,” “Scrappy” and “Shadow”

Will be adding more to the flock, but time to finally knit my first pair of socks
05-21-2020 “Shadow” is almost ready to join the flock - only have to give her legs
05-19-2020 Completed garter stitch body and stockinette head. Will finish face, tail, legs and ears soon so “Shadow” can join the flock.
05-18-2020 “Scrappy” is finished
The instructions are written to easily adapt to garter stitch. My next addition to the flock will be “Shadow” the black sheep. This is so addicting
05-17-2020 Completed body (garter stitch this time) and head for “Scrappy.” Will finish tail, ears and legs tomorrow.
05-15-2020 Welcome “Lamb Chop”
My hubby is so talented - he quickly cut and assembled a little wooden pen for our flock
Will knit a garter stitch
with 2 colors of Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift gray leftover yarn scraps (Sholmit and Granite) from my Muckle Roe and Bressay designed by Marie Wallin. “Scrappy” will join the flock soon
05-14-2020 Cast on “Lamb Chop” knitting with Natural/White for stockinette body, tail and Mooskit for head, legs and ears. Finished body and face. Will add tail, legs and ears tomorrow
05-13-2020 ALL DONE - my first “Wittle Wee Wee” took me about 8.5 hours
There will be many more - may my flock multiple quickly
FINALLY knit those ADORABLE ears, though knitting the M1L and M1R were blindly tiny

Fourth leg only took 30 minutes!!!
Third leg done and so much easier now - one more!
OMG Finished second front leg - happy that it matches perfectly - getting faster at this !!
Discovered on my second front leg that once I positioned my 4 DPNS, slipping the 1 stitch on my 2nd needle to my 1st needle (now 4 stitches) and my last single stitch on my 4th needle to my 3rd needle (now 4 stitches) made it much easier and faster knitting 4 stitches on 2 needles instead of 4 needles … and also much easier to stuff
Finished first front black leg and again, added a simple black embroidered tiny stem stitch around leg like neck to tidy up join to body. This also helps the leg to be sturdier. Now to finish 3 more legs hopefully each the same length, just like the first
NOTE: Stuffed each leg (pushing with the flat end of a crochet hook) with about six 3 1/2” length pieces of black DK yarn - coiling each piece into a wee ball and pushing in one at a time.
05-12-2020 Tightened neck (added a simple black embroidered tiny stem stitch around neck to tidy up join) and will knit ears and legs to finish tomorrow. Having SO MUCH FUN
Completed tail end shaping (stuffing bumbum as I knit decreases) Kitchener stitched closing and enjoyed knitting the cutest tail EVER
Slowly pulled out Provisional Cast on and successfully put 40 stitches on 4 DPNs. Double checked and recounted stitches to make sure my 4 legs are positioned accurately (duh, those purled stitches now make sense)
My hubby suggested using old yarn in my stash to stuff my “Wee Wee”
I found black yarn to stuff the head, another matching color to stuff the body and also added fresh lavender inside to make my “Wee Wee” smell SWEET
05-11-2020 Completed body, neck decreases, head (again, used 2 safety pins to mark ear positions even though I also knit those 3 purled stitches, but very difficult to see) and face shaping, but again, why did I choose black yarn to knit such tiny decreases with US1.5 DPNs?!?) AND my first SSP ever after all my years of lace knitting?!?! Sometimes instructions just do not make sense until you actually get to knit them to see what must be done!!! This design and instructions - Thank you Freshy Millsap - are just AMAZING
Using US1.5 DPNs, successfully completed provisional cast on and I understand the purpose of the purled stitches to mark the placement of the legs, but since this is my very first “Wee” in stockinette, I marked my leg position stitches by positioning 4 of those new designed round safety pins - see last picture. (I saved so many from clothing tags and discovered they make great stitch markers.)
Decided to stockinette knit my fist “Wee Wee” using Mooskit for the body and tail and Black for the head, legs and ears … will I be able to count so many tiny stitches?!?!?
Today is the day to focus on knitting some
BAHHH
04-11-2020 Purchased, downloaded and printed pattern. Can I knit these?!?! Looking forward to knitting a flock soon
02-03-2020 After admiring these “Wittle Wee Wees” for a very long time, I finally bought the kit from Churchmouse Yarns & Teas
