Notes

ALAAC15 is almost here and it’s my first conference without squares to knit. Picking a new conference-friendly project was a must and I like the rainbow effect on this one since the conference is the same weekend pride here in San Francisco!

7/1 I did remarkably little knitting on this during the conference but managed to make some progress getting done through the green stripe and to the sleeve division.

7/5 Knit away through a day off and a couple more colors went in. Then stalled when I got a case of start-itis.

I had a terrible time at the transition points of this sweater. Starting a sleeve meant stalling the project. Ditto the other sleeve. Ditto the front bands. When all is said and done I really like it…surprise!

Notes: the yellow and lavender yarns are not Cotton Glace - something a little lighter weight but I’m not sure what (the yarn was thrifted you know).

I have enough of this yarn for at least one more of these so I bothered to write down all the weights used:
Green: 12g
Yellow: 8g
Beige/almond: 30g
Celery: 13g
Lavender: 5g
Gold: 14g
Purple: 7g
Pink: 2g

Mods:

  • Only did the icord around the neckline not the placket or hems
  • Used size 4 needles for the entire thing (too lazy to switch needles and it worked just fine.
