wow, this went quicker than I thought!

I was a bit scared to try any of the patterns in this book- for a toy knitter it’s like going from high school (Alan Dart) to university. Picking up stitches, knitting in the round, kitchener stitch EEK! However the instructions and pictures were really pretty clear, although in some rows I’m sure there were errors- the stitch count at the end didn’t match the instructions, so I felt like I was bodging some of it. The only thing I changed was sewing the pipe-cleaners into the legs rather than trying to push them through afterwards. It meant the legs kind of got in the way later but I have really poor hand strength and would have ended up crying and giving up when trying to push them through.

It came out so well that on the final stage I was actually shuddering because it was so… spidery…
