I love him a lot. The pattern is very detailed and well done and he was definitely worth the time and effort.

Main yarn = Alpaca Lace with a strand of gray lace weight cotton yarn from an unwound commercially knitted sweater. 1.5mm hook. Brushed with pumice stone when finished to fuzz up the yarn.

Hands, feet, tail = 1 ply of Drops Loves You/1.25mm hook
Ears, Nose = 2 plies of Drops Loves You/1.5mm hook
Eyes = 2 plies of Drops Safran/1.5mm hook

26 gauge copper wire for hands and arms
20 gauge nichrome wire for everything else
Arms and legs wrapped with duct tape, but a bit too ambitiously. Stripped it back down to just above last row to attach the limbs.

No extra weight needed, he stands fine on his own.

(a) Tail shortened by a few rounds on each of the sections containing 8, 9 and 10 stitches. Finished tail is 38cm.

(b) Eyelids fold up around the eyeball, back to front, when they’re done.

(c) I squished that little 8-stitch round on the ear so it was horizontal instead of vertical and attached the lower 4 sts on the first round, the upper 4 sts on the second round. It seems right.

(d) To get the scraggly whiskers, I pulled on them with thumbnail and finger as if curling a ribbon.
