Notes

I love this hat! It’s super cute, a fast knit, and the yarn is so pretty and soft. The p3tog stitches in the body got a little tedious, but I love the finished texture of the bramble stitch, so it was worth it.

My gauge turned out a little small (20 sts = 3.5 in), so this ended up fitting my 9-month-old son Arlo (who has an 18.5-inch head) with a little room to spare, instead of the 2-year-old it was destined for. Not a big deal, since I wanted to make one for Arlo too!

Luckily, this used less than half of the skein (52g/126g total), so I should be able to make a slightly larger version for Freya by casting on an extra 8 or 12 stitches and modifying the pattern accordingly.
