made mine twice as wide as the pattern called for so that it was more the size of a tote rather than a handbag. very happy with how it turned out. love the color changes in the Casablanca, makes it look like I used a variety of yarns but I only used the one colorway of Casablanca - but three skeins! I lined it which was a new thing for me and I was happy with the extra strength it gave the bag .
