I wanted to send my family some tiny knits, and was going to do some teeny chickens or pigs for my mum and sister. I knew my brother wouldn’t really be into that, so I started thinking about some designs he’d like. I decided to knit something Stargate related, since we both love it, and he’d probably like that a lot more than a cutesy chicken.

Basically its an evil, lifesucking beetle which features in my favourite episode of SGA (38 Minutes).

I’m using this ladybug pattern as my basis for the body and wings, since I’m not at the point where I can improvise increases and decreases to get the right shape. I’m doing the head and wings in blue, the body in yellow, and I’m going to knit a cord to stitch on as the tail.

26th June 2012- Well it’s done for now! Maybe at some point in the future i’ll add legs, but for now, finito!
