My first owl knit! It’s very very cute, and was pretty fun to do. Quite a bit bigger than the mochi mochi stuff I’ve been doing. In chocolate brown and pink, because for some reason I was really excited about using that colour combo!

I messed up the beak a bit and pulled it out. It’s still not perfect, but looks pretty good considering the only instructions for it are ‘embroider the beak’ (and I know nothing about embroidery).

I gave my owl supersized felt eyes to make it extra cute, though it’s just plain circles. I considered cutting sections out of the pupils for a “shine” effect but couldn’t be bothered. Probably something I’ll experiment with later.

Oh, and I learned how to do kitchener stitch! Which is cool. Although I wasn’t really sure how to do the end to get it to look like the start (the right ‘ear’), it seemed to turn out okay.
