Some quick little knits to get me used to knitting in the round. This one has come out lovely! I’m glad I did the big version (Mother Chicken) so I could sort out my rhythm, learn to pick up stitches etc first, even though it doesn’t look very nice. It’s meant I already know what I’m doing with this tiny one, and its ADORABLE.

Considering using some of these along with rabbits/flowers/? to make a cute spring mobile to hang above my sink.

Alterations:
-I just sewed some burgundy yarn along the head and left it in loose loops for the crown instead of picking up stitches/cutting them. I like the way it looks better.

-I didn’t knit any feet partly because I’m lazy and partly because I like that cute no-feet I’m-laying-in-my-nest-look.

Do hens have crowns? I thought only cockerels did. Transgender/intersex chickens are just as adorable.
