Hat was inspired by “Wonder Woman Hat” by Nakesha Haschke https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wonder-woman-hat. I used sc, rather than hdc.

I stopped increasing at 66 stitches for medium adult head. 1st row of point I did 1 sc of gold, and added 2 stitches of gold each row with 1 at start and 1 at end. I did 8 rows of point before starting the gold band, which was 6 rows. I did 10 rows of cobalt blue with white stitches to represent the stars on the blue of the older Wonder Woman outfit.

I did not spiral, but used Planet June’s no cut invisible join and made the join center back. To start the crown point, I found the center front stitch and put my first gold (autumn maize) stitch there and followed with the gold rows with increases. I carried the unused red along the back of the point, trying to keep it loose enough so the point would lie flat. I dropped the gold at the end of the point rows and pulled it back over for the start of the next point row. I crocheted over the loose strand with the autumn maize.

I did a row of crab stitch or reverse sc for the final row.
