Notes

Yarn held double.

Cast on w/ Judy’s Magic Cast On: 24st. Divide on to 2 needles.

Increase toe to 44st.

Knit until it measures 6.5” (2.5” short of my 9” foot)

Increase Gussets on needle #2 to 34 st.

on needle #2 Turn Heel thusly:
K21, ssk, k1, turn
Sl1, P9, P2tog, P1, turn
Sl1, K10, ssk, K1, turn
… and so on (knitting the two “gappy” stitches together)
Until you are down to 22st on needle #2.

Knit plain around for 1.25” more.
Then switch to to 3x1 Ribbing until you reach halfway through the ball (weigh it to find out!), and start your second sock.
