Since this is going to be a stuffed toy for a baby I used cotton yarn that not only can be laundered at 90°C, I’m also going to wash it at that temperature so I can see if it shrinks and also it will be absolutely clean when it arrives with the kid.

For the stuffing I bought natural fibres that can be washed at that temperature, too, and has a certificate for its baby-compatibility.

Of course there are no buttons or anything else a baby could choke on and the crocheted eyes are sewn on VERY well.

The tentacles aren’t stuffed so they are more slinky and less just like arms. Each of them has a different colour/pattern, the ribbed ones were intended to have an interesting structure to touch and unfortunately now look a little NSFW but a baby won’t know that anyway so don’t tell him/her!
