Notes

“Toronto Maple Leafs”

The grey was some aran weight acrylic.
The blue was DK Estelle yarn held with single ply silk/merino, and the white was DK Scout yarn held with Cima silk/? laceweight 2 strands. What a hodgepodge!!! I picked the yarns based on colour. This will be a hand wash for sure otherwise it would shrink at different rates.

On Pinterest I searched Toronto Maple Leafs chart and found one that was 52 sts across so I used it as the stitch width fit nicely in the pattern. The colour work motif was 40 sts across

Knit the sleeves two at a time in magic loop.

I worked the motif in stranded knitting, and the only challenge I had was stranding three floats. So after a few rows of that I quickly learned to use stranded in the motif and intarsia for the edges. I will include a photo of the back once it’s dried. It’s way easier this way than stranding 3 colours.

Originally I was searching for a motif to fit on the front of the cardigan but couldn’t find one small enough that I liked. If I do find one, I can always duplicate stitch onto the front.
