This was a very enjoyable knit mostly because of the 17 st guage which I have never done with this yarn…and I really liked it, just like Rebecca said in her last podcast when launching this pattern.

I did however have to make some mods to the sleeves.

For one when I picked up the amount of stitches in the pattern the guage became way too loose and there were gaps everywhere and that is because when I measured my sleeve opening it was way bigger than the schematic. 11”. So I needled down and picked up every stitch, then did one round of k4 k2tog, and I still had way more sts than my size called for. So I added a little underarm gusset and that worked out just fine!! In the end I had about 25% more stitches in my sleeve but that’s because I used a US5 instead of US7 like on the body. I’m quite happy with the results.

First time doing bust shaping and I can’t believe how simple this one was!! Looking forward to exploring different styles of bust shaping in the future.

I would definitely recommend this pattern. Beginner friendly.

A very comfy pleasant wearable item. I got compliments on it on a night out.
