These colours are so hard to photograph so I decided to take them outside and that photo represents the colours best. And they are so very different than the other Long Shot projects.

Originally I bought these to use together but once they arrived I wasn’t so sure they worked. So I put them in stash and last week when I got the email from Spincycle that a metamorphic kAL was starting I decided to actually put them together.

When Andrea sent a subscriber discount for the pattern, it sealed the deal! Metamorphic will be born and I’m so excited to start!!

All ready and wound up! Can’t wait to start!!

I love that I was able to sort out the slipped stitch row by incorporating it into the hem ribbing. I just decreased before getting to the row so that two purls landed before the column, then I decreased after it so that the stitches remained consistent in all the four sections. I think I ended up with 8 decreased stitches in total around the whole hem.

I only have two skeins of the Nocturne and will be stash diving in my Spincycle to finish the sleeves.

Found a skein to finish the sleeves, I hope it’s not too bright. Update Feb 8, it’s not too bright. It was the perfect choice.
