I found a lovely Ravelry user and she has the burgundy I ran out of and I’m ripping back the sleeves to do it as written!! I will be so much happier

A - Whites
B - Taupes
C - Burgundy/Browns

Clue 3 - held the Cleopatra (burgundy) C as the dominant in order to show off the colour more and accent the opposite to the first clue. Designer recommends holding A as dominant.

Using smaller needles PU 1 st for every CO with B. I am doing a size 3 sweater.

Row1 &2:K two rounds.
Using the same technique that the designer used in section 2,
Row 3: 4 with colour C, 1 with colour B, 1 with colour C, 1 with colour B repeat
Row 4: Colour C Follow the pattern like Zanete does
Row 5: Colour B Knit around
Row 6: With Colour B K and Decrease every time you are in the middle of the 4 st purl bumps from the row below.
Row 7: With C Now it’s Slip, knit, slip above the colour C segment and a three K sts segment above the previous row Sl,k,Sl.
Row8: Follow pattern like Zanete does
Row 9: K with B
Row 10: Decrease once above every three st segment.
Row 11: This row you are making a 4 segment strip with a single slip that lines up between the last two slips, forming a triangle of slips
Row 12: Complete the second row as you do.
Row 13: With B k1 round, slipping the tops of the triangles
Row 14: K1, P1. but no purling on the tops of the triangles. Slip those stitches.

Bind off in K/P pattern very loosely. My neck barely fits over my skull. I would check half way around to make sure you are binding off loosely enough. Perhaps use a larger needle. Sorry if these directions sound ambiguous but I didn’t want to give away Zanete’s section of Clue 2.

For the special stitches on the links provided, the teachings on the videos and in the written patterns are done flat. I suggest making an ‘in the flat’ version to learn the pattern and then converting it to in the round which is not provided. Learning it on the go in the round as I did is a bit of a challenge. But these patterns provide purls in two colour slipped patterns just like Zanete did in the slipped sections so they are ideal.

Finished at 12” below the underarms before beginning the hem.

Decreased by about 8 sts before hem, just on a gut based on fit.

The swatch was simply to check for bleeding!! and Yay it did not!

Sleeves

I ran out of the burgundy yarn and things to a ravelry viewer and a nice trade we made via the mail I was able to procure one more skein.

I’m much happier with the full sleeves in colour work than what I tried to modify.
