Notes

What’s really going on here?

What started as a Grasslands Tank is ending up with some Weekender Crew inspiration.

So I’m using scrap fingering weight yarn with the helical method. Sometimes I used 3 different colours and up to 5 or 6 strands.

What I realized when approaching the split for the sleeves (bottom up) is that it was way wider than I would’ve wanted for a tank. And that’s when I switched the garment to a Weekender Crew (loosely) which I’ve made before.

Now the stitch counts are not the same and I bound off stitches under the arm instead of adding them, so it’s only loosely based on the Weekender Crew but I did the short row shaping front and back as Andrea did.

Also my neck opening was huge in comparison but I like it.

I put a broken 1x1 rib on the bottom added after the body was knit, and sleeves (short) are yet to be determined as to how….in grey for sure.

So as you can see the inspiration from Grasslands is the colouring, shape…the Weekender Crew. Wove in ends as I went.

All considered, I think a true Weekender Crew would be amazing in this scrappy colour way.
